Mail Order Catalog Company

One of the nation’s oldest mail order catalog companies sought to implement SCM EWM to replace two disparate WM systems. With a high volume operation of over 450,000 orders per day, minimal business disruption during the implementation was critical.

Resolute was selected to supplement the implementation team with a seasoned Project Manager responsible for all project, resource, and cutover planning and delivery within a very aggressive timeline. He planned and directed blueprint workshops, coordinated tasks and resources within realization phases, and was responsible for planning and deployment of all SAP modules. His experience helped support a successful go-live that delivered the means to manufacture and fulfill orders in the quickest, most cost-effective manner.

Medical Devices Company

The client, a global leader in medical technology, sought to expand device manufacturing at two of its facilities in Puerto Rico, as well as implement a third-party logistics provider (3PL) service. Integration with its existing SAP WM application, and in particular, warehousing, shipping and reverse logistics, would be critical as it would create one set of processes across sites.

Resolute Technologies was selected to provide a Spanish-speaking, SAP MM/WM expert that could be a liaison between the Order Fulfillment team at the client site and the 3PL based in Puerto Rico. His in-depth knowledge of key supply chain processes and current best practices were utilized to design integration processes based on the client’s requirements, and was asked to travel frequently between the company’s headquarters in Minnesota, the manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico, and an operations center in Tennessee in order to provide decision support to executive management.

He also performed functional specification modification for IBM Sterling interfaces to be integrated with the SAP system that would deliver seamless order fulfillment. In addition, his modifications performed on existing 3PL application interfaces reduced interface costs in the supply chain. The successful SAP WM/3PL integration project reduced redundancies, improved visibility and optimized product delivery.

Aviation Company

The world’s largest provider of new aviation parts and services was in the process of converting SAP ERP WM, run by 3PL, to client-owned SAP EWM across 76 locations worldwide. After the go-live for two facilities in the US and Europe, many issues presented and Resolute was selected to provide experts who could help resolve the issues. ABAP developers, QA, technical and functional consultants, project managers, and financial business analysts have been utilized to successfully support hypercare activities, help desk, upgrades, and change management activities.

The scope of these support activities included complex inbound and outbound processes, batch management, serial numbers, ERP QM integration, FAA documentation requirements, wave planning, slotting, and resource management. With these critical issues resolved, the client realized 100% inventory visibility, reduced delays in processing, and elimination of interfaces IDOCs and external databases.

Life Sciences Organization

A global enterprise of more than one billion dollars, the client is a leader in infection control, pain management, and surgical and hygiene solutions. EWM was deployed as a stand-alone solution at one location to establish a global template for 18 additional rollouts in three years.

Resolute was selected to supplement the implementation team with experts who could activate batch management on selected materials, standardize labels, implement wireless mobile data collection devices, activate gATP, and ARIBA ASN. The successful rollout standardized the warehouse structure to increase efficiency of putaway and picking tasks and was used as the global template for future rollouts.

Manufacturing Company

The client is a leading manufacturer in the Midwest. It sought to implement SAP ERP across eight North American sites to replace several disparate and homegrown systems, and ensure consistent functionality and processes across all sites. A critical component of the roll-out included seamless integration with its existing Manhattan PkMS software, as it managed all aspects of the distribution center operations.

Resolute Technologies was selected to supplement the client’s project team with 15 technical and functional consultants with the experience required to expertly integrate SAP and Manhattan in both batch and real-time, and with multi-currency and multi-language requirements. After two years of supporting the client’s warehouse and logistics business processes, the client realized lower operating costs, reduced transportation spend, and improved productivity across multiple locations.
